Terms Of Use
Connelly Appliance Repair Terms Of Use
Welcome to Connelly Appliance Repair. These terms and conditions apply to all appliance repair services we perform. By scheduling an appointment and allowing our technician to commence service, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following terms. If you disagree, please do not proceed with the repair.
We encourage every customer to familiarize themselves with the terms outlined below. We reserve the right to update these terms and will post changes on our website as needed.
Non-Refundable Service Charge
Each non-warranty repair service is subject to a non-refundable service call fee, which covers travel and diagnostic services by a trained technician. This fee will be disclosed before the appointment and is due upon completion of the initial diagnosis, regardless of whether you choose to proceed with the repair service.
If you proceed, the service fee will be applied toward the cost to repair your appliance. Diagnostic and maintenance services are non-refundable, and additional fees may apply in complex cases or when access to the appliance is restricted.
Payment Terms and Collection Costs
Payment is due upon completion of the repair, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover. Returned checks are subject to a $50 fee. You agree to cover all costs of collection, including legal fees, should they arise.
Limited Warranty
Our work is backed by a 1-year warranty on parts we provide and a 6-month labor warranty. This applies only to parts and labor directly related to the repair performed. If the appliance malfunctions again due to a related issue within the warranty period, we’ll handle the labor at no charge. You’ll only be responsible for the service call and any new parts required.
This warranty is valid only for residential home appliances serviced by our technicians. It does not apply to appliances used in non-household conditions or those serviced by someone other than our technicians.
Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover:
- Cosmetic or non-functional parts
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or appliance malfunction due to unrelated issues
- Appliances relocated after repair
- Special order parts or discontinued components
- Plumbing connections to appliances
- Units where access to the appliance was not provided properly
- Any unit with installation performed by an unqualified party
If a manufacturer’s warranty is still in effect, the customer is responsible for using an authorized service provider. Using a third-party product automatically voids some factory warranties.
Limitation of Damages
We are not liable for any loss related to appliance failure beyond the repair cost paid. This includes but is not limited to food spoilage, water damage, or lost use. Our responsibility ends upon completion of the repair, unless it directly relates to a defect covered under our warranty.
Damage Waivers
Our team takes great care when handling home appliances, but some situations involve unavoidable risk. The following waivers apply:
Movement Waiver
To repair the appliance, we may need to relocate it. This includes but is not limited to washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and stoves. Movement can result in damage to floors, countertops, or cabinetry. By proceeding, you accept this risk and release Connelly Appliance Repair from liability for damage caused while moving your unit.
Water Waiver
Dishwasher repair, washing machine repair, and refrigerator repair may involve working with plumbing. Leaks or flooding may occur due to aging hoses, faulty connections, or brittle components. You agree to hold us harmless for any water damage unless proven to be caused by gross negligence.
Cooling Equipment Waiver
Refrigerator repairs often involve complex systems, such as compressors or evaporators. These components may fail unexpectedly, even after service. You acknowledge the risk of future appliance malfunctions and release us from responsibility, unless the issue is directly tied to the repair we performed.
Glass Cooktop Waiver
During oven repair or stove repair service, our technicians may need to lift a glass cooktop. These surfaces are fragile and may crack. You acknowledge the risk and accept that we are not liable for any damage that may occur during this process.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
The laws of the State of Tennessee govern these Terms and Conditions of Service. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with Tennessee law.
Entire Agreement
These terms of service, along with your repair invoice, constitute the complete agreement between you and Connelly Appliance Repair. By allowing our technician to commence service, you agree to these terms and conditions.
